This, like every July 20, is celebrated in El Salvador , Engineer's Day ; a date that has the purpose of honoring all engineering professionals who, from the various branches of this, contribute to the development of the country.
Read on and discover why Engineer's Day is celebrated every July 20 in our country.
Origin of Engineer's Day in El Salvador
Engineer's Day dates back to December 26, 1929 when the Salvadoran Association of Engineers (ASIA) was established, which became official on July 20, 1949 with the signing of the charter of the Union of Engineers Associations.
Many years later, the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of El Salvador, through Decree No. 739, approved the creation of the Engineer's Day every July 20 in memory and commemoration of the birth of the trade union body of this profession.
As stated in decree 739, engineering has been diversifying its scope of application and has also incorporated different branches to form the Salvadoran Federation of Associations of Engineers, Architects and Related Branches; an organization that promotes the development and professionalization of the various branches that make up engineering and their contribution to the development and benefit of Salvadorans and the entire country in general.
Therefore, from here we send a special greeting to all these professionals who celebrate Engineer's Day on July 20.
