Why is Doctor's Day celebrated

How was the Doctor's Day born?

The Doctor's Day in El Salvador is celebrated on the founding date of the College of Physicians in 1943. Association that was founded by 21 doctors, headed by Dr. Arturo Romero , who created this organization in what was the local the Public Benefit Society.

On August 7, 1968, Benjamín Interiano, president of El Salvador at the time , signed Decree 39 of the Legislative Assembly, which decided to establish and declare that every July 14, Doctor's Day be celebrated as a national holiday without a holiday. .
