When and why is the Lawyer's Day celebrated

Lawyer's Day is a special celebration of the El Salvador calendar that commemorates and celebrates in a special way all legal professionals in our country. The Lawyer's Day in El Salvador is held annually, every June 30 . Next we will tell you why this special date is celebrated.

Origin of the Lawyer's Day in El Salvador

The Salvadoran Lawyer's Day was born thanks to the Legislative Assembly that on June 5, 1984; being José Napoleón Duarte, president at that time, through Decree No. 108, declares that every June 30 the Day of the Law Professional or Lawyer's Day is celebrated from that same year.

This date is celebrated because, as considered by the Assembly, the lawyer is a professional of vital importance for the development of the country in the social, economic and political spheres. In addition, this ensures that the principle of legality and legal security is complied with in all aspects and contexts. In this way, it is ensured that justice can be achieved as a value of universal culture.

Ultimately, lawyers or legal professionals are not only depositaries of public faith, but also ensure justice, contributing to peace and progress in the Republic of El Salvador.

Lawyer's Day in our country is a commemorative celebration , that is to say, it is not a holiday or a mandatory or optional rest day.
